Our town square/mall/piazza is so very dreary, grey and damn depressing. There is always talk that it will be redeveloped and revived but I have been here almost three years and I don't believe for a second that it will ever happen in my lifetime and if it ever did I am pretty sure that we would not be genuinely consulted.
So I've been thinking.........we could make people smile........bring some colour to town
catch my drift?

The first time I ever laid eyes on anything like this was a couple of years ago out the front of Cottage Industry in Gertrude Street Fitzroy. I was with my family and it was a seriously hot day, there was some groaning about too much walking and too many shops. We were on our way to our cousins in Collingwood via the Babushka doll playground when we saw the doily tree. We all loved it and it brought us some much needed joy for the day.I wish I had taken a photo.
Anyway, what do you think?

Yes, Yes, Yes, I am in. Even prepared to suffer for the cause ie: arresst!! Public humiliation etc.....
